What We Drank

When I were a young boy the most popular drink (out side of a co-cola) were a RC what stood for Royal Crown Cola. We used to always drink that one while we ate a Moon Pie. Don't know why but they just seemed to go together. Another drink were called Delaware Punch. It seemed to always go with Bar-ba-Que sandwiches. Then there were these little drinks called Orangettes, Grapettes, and Lemonettes. They come in little bottles but they cost just as much as a RC what come in a bottle more'n twice as big. The company that made them little drinks said in a advertisement one time that what made them worth the same for less were that they was so special. I ain't sure about that but for some reason we bought lot of 'em. Kinda like that little candy bar called a Gold Brick what were real little but cost a dime while the rest cost only a nickel. It still goes on today. Peoples pay more for less if you can convince them it's the thing to do.
A lot of politicians has figured that out too.
